Two people were critically injured when a motorcycle and golf card collideed near the Turtle Bay Resort this afternoon.

Two people were taken to a hospital in critical condition this afternoon following a motorcycle accident on Oahu’s North Shore near Turtle Bay resort.

Emergency Medical Services reported that the driver of the motorcycle was a 63-year-old man who apparently lost control of the motorcycle he was driving and ran off the road and collided with a golf cart about 12:45 p.m.

His passenger was a woman in her 60s or 70s. She was later upgraded to serious condition.

Both suffered head injuries. According to EMS, the two were not wearing helmets.

Kamehameha Highway fronting Turtle Bay was closed in both directions as police investigated. All lanes were reopened about 4 p.m.
