Honolulu ad agencies join forces
In an apparent acquisition, Core Group One announced that it and Hendrix Miyasaki Shin Advertising Inc. will “join forces” effective Jan. 1 and collectively be known as Core Group One.
Executives at both firms could not be reached, and financial terms, including the nature of the business combination, were not disclosed in the written announcement.
Emi Anamizu will continue in her role as CEO, while Hendrix President Jeffrey Hendrix will serve as Vice President of Account Service while Brad Shin and Grant Miyasaki will act as Creative Directors.
Other staffing decisions are being finalized, Core Group One said in a statement.
The agency will operate out of its current downtown location.
Both agencies have long racked up Pele Awards in annual competitions by the Hawaii Advertising Federation.
