Two teens arrested after HPD officer assaulted
Two teenagers were arrested after they allegedly assaulted a police officer in Waianae Thursday morning.
Police said that the officer, 41, was attempting to apprehend a suspect in an unrelated assault case when she was assaulted by the boy, 16, and the girl, 14, at about 10 a.m.
One of the teens also took the officer’s police radio, police said.
The two suspects were arrested and released pending investigation.
