Three teenage boys arrested following mugging in Pawaa

Three teenage boys were arrested allegedly after robbing a woman of her cellular telephone and coin purse in the Pawaa area Thursday night.

Police said the woman, age not given, was shoved by one of three teenagers while another grabbed her belongings on South Beretania Street about 9 p.m.

The victim and a witness chased after the suspects as they headed toward Keeaumoku Street. Police located and arrested a suspect with the items at Cartwright Field Park. The two boys were located and arrested on Makiki Street near Kinau Street.

The suspects are ages 14 to 17, police said.
