Waipahu’s Williams agrees with Angels
ANAHEIM >> The Los Angeles Angels and pitcher Jerome Williams agreed Tuesday on a one-year, $2 million contract, according to a source in a report by MLB.com.
The deal allows the 31-year-old right-hander from Waipahu to avoid arbitration. Williams made $820,000 for the Angels last season, when he went 6-8 with a 4.58 ERA in 32 games.
