Star rookie QBs Luck, Wilson added to Pro Bowl
Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning will get a chance to be teammates after all — at Sunday’s Pro Bowl.
Luck earned his way to the game when New England’s Tom Brady pulled out with an undisclosed injury.
Another star rookie, Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks, also was added to the Pro Bowl, replacing injured Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan. Ryan strained his non-throwing shoulder in a loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Joining Luck in Hawaii will be teammates Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis and Manning, the quarterback who preceded Luck in Indy.
Luck was the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft and set NFL rookie records for attempts, yards passing and 300-yard games. He fell just short of the league’s rookie marks for completions and touchdowns.
Luck also won 11 games, the most by an No. 1 pick in the modern draft and tied an NFL mark by leading seven game-winning drives in the fourth quarter.
