Kalihi man charged with raping young girl
A 43-year-old Kalihi man has been charged with sexually assaulting a young girl over a four-year period begnning when the victim was 7.
Kennedy Manuel was charged Thursday after being arrested on four counts of first-degree sex assault, one count of attempted first-degree sex assault and one count of third-degree sex assault. His bail was set at $250,000.
Police said the attacks began in February 2007 and continued through July 2011. The victim is now 13.
