A man who apparently suffered a medical condition while kayaking off Castle Point last Friday has died.

Police said the man, 36, died at 12:29 p.m. Monday at the hospital. The victim was found unresponsive in or near a one-man kayak in the ocean about 10:15 a.m. last Friday. He was pulled from the water and taken to the hospital in critical condition by emergency services personnel.

Police have classified the case as an unattended death by police. But the man’s identity and other information regarding his death have not yet been disclosed
