A 48-year-old Pearl City man has been charged with abuse after he allegedly choked a woman Sunday.

Police said Richard Villacorte was arrested on suspicion of abuse Sunday. His bail was set at $11,000,

A 17-year-old girl tried to intervene when the suspect allegedly began choking a 45-year-old woman.
