$100,000 damage caused in Pahoa house fire

Fire destroyed a Pahoa house Wednesday morning, but no one was injured in the blaze.

Hawaii County firefighters responded to the 8:46 a.m. fire at 16-2027 35th Ave.

The 1,000-square-foot house was fully involved with a partial roof collapse when firefighters arrived.

The fire was under control at 9:10 a.m. and was extinguished at 9:40 a.m.

Fire investigators estimated damage to the house and its contents were valued at $100,000, a total loss.
