Arbitrators award two 4 percent raises to HGEA nurses
Nearly 1,700 registered professional nurses of the Hawaii Government Employees Association Bargaining Unit 9 will receive a 4 percent pay increase retroactive to Jan. 1 and another 4 percent effective April 1, the HGEA announced Tuesday.
A three-member arbitration panel awarded the pay raises.
In April 2011, the nurses rejected the tentative agreement for the 2011-13 contract.
