» A 5 percent pay reduction for city employees is scheduled to end July 1 as stipulated in current contracts between the city and various government employee unions. A Page B1 story Tuesday stated the decision to "snap back" the reductions was proposed by Mayor Kirk Caldwell.
» Convicted double murderer Raita Fukusaku appeared before the Hawaii Paroling Authority on Monday via a videoconference from Saguaro Correctional Center in Arizona. A Page B2 article and headline Monday said the parole board was to hold the hearing in Arizona.
Clarification
» The "disaster preparedness guide" in the front pages of the telephone book appears only in the Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages, after being moved off the White Pages a couple of years ago. An "Off the News" item on Page A8 Tuesday advised people to review the disaster guide in their telephone book as part of Tsunami Awareness Month.
