Caldwell begins series of town hall meetings

Mayor Kirk Caldwell kicks off a monthlong series of town hall meetings across Oahu with a gathering at the cafeteria of Highlands Intermediate School in Pearl City Thursday evening.

The mayor and Cabinet members will update the communities on his priorities including the fixing of city roads, restoring TheBus service, investing in sewer improvements, beautifying parks, trying to make sure the rail transit line gets done properly  and addressing homelessness.

All meetings will run 6:30-8 p.m. 

Other meeting dates and locations:

>> Monday: Honolulu, Kaimuki High School cafeteria.

>> May 9: Wahiawa/Mililani, Wahiawa District Park.

>> May 16: Kapolei, Kapolei Hale.

>> May 20: Windward, Kaneohe Community Center.

>> May 22: Kalihi, Farrington High School cafeteria.
