Honolulu police detectives are investigating a report of a shooting in Waianae.

A woman, 43, who was injured was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Honolulu Police Lt. Paul Lucas said initial reports indicated the incident involving the injured woman occurred close to 4:43 p.m. near Yokohama Bay.

Lucas, interviewed this evening, said no one was being held as a suspect but police are looking into reports of a woman who was seen in the area near the injured woman.

‘It’s an ongoing investigation…We’re looking for additional witnesses, getting statements,” he said. 

“We haven’t got all the answers yet.”
