Hiker who fainted airlifted off Koko Head
Fire crews responded to a hiker in distress Saturday morning at the top of the Koko Head Crater Trail after he fainted or felt faint, a Honolulu Fire Department spokesman said.
The call came in around 10:14 a.m., and about 30 minutes later firefighters were preparing to airlift the hiker, a man in his 20s, off the mountain, Capt. Chris Ah Mook Sang said.
Ah Mook Sang said the hiker was uninjured.
