USS Paul Hamilton returns home to Pearl Harbor

Hawaii-based destroyer USS Paul Hamilton is home after a nine-month deployment.

The guided-missile destroyer returned to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Monday.

Navy Region Hawaii says the crew deployed in September and has been conducting a wide array of operations including counter-terrorism and combating transnational crime.

The deployment also included a port visit in Manila, where 24 Filipino-American Sailors were able to spend time with their families and friends who live in the Philippines.

Paul Hamilton is one of 11 surface combatants assigned to Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific and Destroyer Squadron 31.
