SEATTLE >> The Boston Red Sox have recalled outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., and right-hander Brandon Workman from Triple-A Pawtucket.

The Red Sox made the moves before Tuesday night’s game against Seattle. Bradley was in the starting lineup in center field and batting ninth as Jacoby Ellsbury and Shane Victorino continue to deal with nagging injuries. Bradley has appeared in just 19 games with Boston and was hitting .297 at Pawtucket.

Boston placed right-handed reliever Alex Wilson on the 15-day disabled list with a thumb injury and optioned right-hander Jose De La Torre to Pawtucket.

Wilson threw 1 1-3 innings of relief Monday night, but felt a popping sensation in his right thumb as he started his second inning of work. Wilson is headed back to Boston to be examined and manager John Farrell said Wilson “could require some down time.”
