Medical examiner says Japanese visitor drowned at hotel pool
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that a Japanese visitor died as a result of accidental drowning at a Hilton Hawaiian Village swimming pool.
Kazutaka Uemiya, 57, of Kobe, Japan, was taken in critical condition to a hospital about 10:30 a.m. Monday. Police said he died at 9:35 p.m.
