Players gather around defensive tackle Kennedy Tulimasealii, who was placed in a cart after injuring his knee today.

University of Hawaii freshman defensive tackle Kennedy Tulimasealii left today’s football practice with an injury to his right knee.

It is believed the injury is to his MCL.

He suffered the injury on a one-and-one drill in the Rainbow Warriors’ last practice at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, where the team has trained the past six days. He was helped off the field by trainers at Earhart Field.

Tulimasealii is undergoing an MRI today.

Tulimasealii, a Waianae High product who was considered one of the prized recruits of the 2013 class, is considered to be doubtful for the Aug. 29 game against USC at Aloha Stadium.

He was in the playing rotation on the defensive line.
