Hawaii island police arrest woman in fatal Puna stabbing
A 27-year-old Pahoa woman is being held by Hawaii County police, suspected of fatally stabbing a 42-year-old man in Puna Wednesday night.
The victim was found by police and firefighters responding to a 10:44 p.m. call of a reported stabbing at a home on Kawakawa Street in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision.
The victim was taken to Hilo Medical Center where he died at 11:30 p.m.
His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The suspect was arrested at the scene on suspicion of second-degree murder. She is being held at the Hilo police cellblock.
