A 40-year-old man violated an order of protection when he assaulted his ex-girlfriend in Wahiawa early Monday morning, police said.

A 43-year-old woman reported to police that her ex-boyfriend, who has no local address, assaulted her at her home around 12:30 a.m., according to police documents. 

Police located the man at 1:18 a.m. on California Avenue and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault and violating the temporary restraining order. He was charged with the assault and released on $15,000 bail around 4 p.m. Monday.
