JoGuru.com

What it does: You can view other travelers’ day-by-day itineraries and ask questions about places while building your own itinerary.

What’s hot: It’s a great way to get to know a place and get ideas for what to do. I also really liked its time and distance feature. When you add attractions to your itinerary from within the same city, JoGuru tells you how far apart they are, provides opening hours and allows you to input how long you’ll be there. You can edit an existing itinerary or make your own. If you want to roll up your sleeves, make a board of places you’ve been to or want to visit, as well as add friends and help other travelers on the “Questions” board.

What’s not: I couldn’t figure out how to add my own photos and places, nor could I add a city that wasn’t already listed. As hard as I tried, I could not customize beyond options the site has available
(I tried to make a two-day itinerary in Las Vegas). I wanted to write my own itinerary — with restaurants, hotels, off-the-beaten-path activities — wouldn’t you? But hold tight, the site is in beta — I’ll definitely be watching this one.
