Tradewinds returning to islands, but not for long
Tradewinds are expected to return to the islands over the next couple of days but forecasters warn: Don’t get used to it.
The National Weather Service in Honolulu said today that tradewinds “will remain on the lighter side” and by late Thursday a cold front will approach the state from the northwest with “winds turning to a more southerly direction” through the weekend.
The change will also increase the chance for showers statewide, forecasters said.
