Fire destroys home in Pahoa on Highway 130
A Pahoa home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived Wednesday night to extinguish the blaze.
The Hawaii County Fire Department said flames destroyed the single-story home, causing an estimated $125,000 damage to the 3-bedroom, 2 bath house.
Firefighters arrived at 12-4340 Highway 130 about 15-minutes after the 6:30 p.m. alarm. It took firefighters until 7:15 p.m. to bring the fire under control. it was extinguished at 7:35 p.m.
There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation.
