Mobi PCS upgrades its wireless network on Molokai
Mobi PCS has completed a 3G network upgrade on Molokai, boosting performance of the company’s voice-and-data network on the island, company officials said today.
The upgrade increased data download and browsing speeds by 10 times, while voice-calling capacity during times of high usage has been doubled, according to a news release from Mobi.
Mobi PCS is Hawaii’s only locally based wireless provider. It offers voice and broadband service through its own statewide network and on the mainland through a partnerships with national carriers.
