Salt Lake woman dies after being hit by SUV
An 83-year-old Salt Lake woman died Wednesday after she was hit by a sport utility vehicle near Ala Napuaa Place and Ala Ilima Street.
A 62-year-old Salt Lake man was driving a Ford Explorer about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday when the SUV hit the woman who was crossing the street. Police did not specify which street the pedestrian was walking across. The driver was not injured.
The woman was taken initially in serious condition to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
