Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a male in his 20s who broke into a Kapiolani apartment early Thursday morning, hit a woman on her head and then fled with her wallet.

Police said the break-in at a Laau Street apartment occurred at 1 a.m.

The victim was awakened by the male intruder standing over her bed in her apartment on. She attempted to scream for help and was struck in the head causing injuries. The suspect took her wallet and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as being 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with short black hair.
