Hawaii senior Matt Cooper tossed his second career shutout, allowing just three hits in Hawaii’s 2-0 win over Pepperdine on Wednesday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Kaeo Aliviado walked and scored in the sixth and Marc Flores added an RBI double off the wall in right-center in the eighth.

Matt Maurer (0-1) took the loss for the Waves (6-2), allowing one run on six hits in 6 2/3 innings with three walks and three strikeouts.

Flores finished with three of Hawaii’s seven hits and Jordan Richartz went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

The series continues Thursday night at 6:35 p.m.
