Hawaii County fire personnel rescue 2 kayakers off Kohala Coast
Hawaii County fire rescue personnel Thursday helped two kayakers on a single craft who were apparently swept out by the current 2 to 3 miles off the Kohala Coast.
Firefighters were alerted at 10:59 a.m. And were on scene at 11:37 am.
A fire helicopter was used to extract the two people out of the water.
The two declined treatment.
The kayak was also retrieved and brought to shore.
