The University of Hawaii will open an “H-Zone” logo wear store at Ward Centre July 1 following approval Thursday by the school’s Board of Regents.

In addition, UH said it will expand the use of the former Rainbowtique at the Stan Sheriff Center and enhance merchandising at Les Murakami Stadium and the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

In addition it will offer a new online store at H-Zoneoinline.com.

Athletic director Ben Jay said he expects to see a $500,000 profit from the first year  of the “H-Zone.”

The Rainbowtique at Ward Centre will continue to be operated by UH Campus Services through June 22.
