Police arrest boy for alleged kendama theft
An alleged kendama theft led to the arrest of a 13-year-old boy at Nanakuli High and Intermediate School Wednesday afternoon.
Police said a 12-year-old boy reported that the suspect robbed him of his kendama at about 2:30 p.m.
The suspect was released, pending investigation, into the custody of his parents.
A kendama is a Japanese toy, which has become very popular in the islands. The toy consists of a three wooden cups and a spike connected to a ball by a string. It’s used to perform tricks to land the ball in the cups or spike.
