Attempted murder suspect has history of driving problems
A 30-year-old Hono-lulu woman arrested on suspicion of intentionally striking a 73-year-old woman in a Wai-kiki parking garage with her car has a history of driving problems and has frightened a neighborhood with her erratic behavior behind the wheel.
Jill Anjuli Hansen was arrested at her Sea View Avenue apartment at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday for investigation of second-degree attempted murder in connection with an incident at Diamond Head Apartments, 2969 Kala-kaua Ave.
Police said at about
11:40 a.m. Wednesday, Hansen followed the older woman through the parking garage’s security gate and then intentionally hit the woman with her car after she had exited her vehicle. In an effort to get Hansen’s attention and stop her from hitting the woman again, a bystander used a crowbar to break one of the car’s windows.
Hansen allegedly fled the scene, leaving her vehicle behind. Paramedics treated the older woman for a serious head wound.
Police said Hansen and the older woman do not know each other, and there was no apparent motive.
