Global fashion retailer H&M will open its next Hawaii store at Ka Makana Alii shopping center in Kapolei.
The Swedish-based clothing chain opened a store in Waikiki earlier this year at the Waikiki Business Plaza, with its store entrance replacing the long-standing mosaic fountain featuring koi swimming upstream.
The Kapolei location in a new, 1.4 million-square-foot regional mall is planned by DeBartolo Development.
“H&M will provide easy access to contemporary fashion for area families, who will enjoy the convenience of having such a sought-after brand just minutes away,” said Edward Kobel, DeBartolo president and chief operating officer, in a statement.
DeBartolo plans a ground-breaking ceremony later this year at the intersection of Kapolei and Kualakai Parkways.
