The Hawaii soccer team absorbed another home loss to a power conference team to open the 2014 season.

Texas of the Big 12 rallied from an early deficit to prevail over the Rainbow Wahine 2-1 on Monday to conclude the Outrigger Resorts Shootout at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

UH (0-2) was more competitive than in its 5-2 defeat at the hands of Arizona State on Sunday. Senior Krystal Pascua scored on a beautiful opposite-post shot from 22 yards in the fifth minute.

But the Longhorns (1-0-1) equalized before halftime and got the go-ahead, unassisted goal in the 73rd minute by Whitney Jaynes.
