The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a 38-year-old man who died after being pulled from the ocean as Dante Biacan of Waipahu.

Police said Biacan lost consciousness in the ocean off Laie about 2 p.m. Saturday. Paramedics picked Biacan up at Malaekaha State Recreation Area and took him to the hospital in extremely critical condition, an Emergency Medical Services report said.

Police said Biacan died at the hospital and foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
