Napa Valley rattled by another small earthquake
NAPA, Calif. >> A small earthquake has struck Northern California’s wine country near where a magnitude-6.0 earthquake caused significant damage more than a week ago.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.0 tremor struck 7 miles south of the city of Napa just before 4 a.m. Thursday.
Sheriff’s officials say there have been no reports of damage or injury.
The region has experienced a series of aftershocks since the main quake Aug. 24 caused as much as $1 billion in damage and multiple injuries.
To the south in Central California, a magnitude-3.0 earthquake was reported about 11 miles from Hollister at 3:11 a.m. Thursday.
