A 44-year-old man in a wheelchair died Friday night after he was hit by a car in the Barbers Point area.

The incident happened at 8:23 p.m. on Enterprise St. and Wright St.

The driver of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria, a 34-year-old man, was traveling southbound on Enterprise St. when he struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to Queens West Oahu in critical condition, where he died.

Police said this is Oahu’s 44th traffic fatality this year, compared to 42 last year.
