The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 30-year-old Kapaa man who died while body surfing on Kauai as Nicholas Mettey.
Cause of the death was blunt force impact to the victim’s head.
Mettey was bodysurfing Monday on Kauai when he became unresponsive.
He was flown to Honolulu and the Queen’s Medical Center, where he died Wednesday.
