Hawaii sweeps Northern Arizona in volleyball
Olivia Magill and Nikki Taylor each put down 11 kills to lead Hawaii to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-18 sweep of Northern Arizona in a nonconference volleyball match Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Tai Manu-Olevao had four of the team’s eight aces and 10 of the 43 digs as the Rainbow Wahine improved to 7-3. The Lumberjacks (9-1) had come into the match one of 15 unbeaten teams in the country.
Lauren Jacobsen led NAU with 12 kills.
Hawaii senior libero Sarah Mendoza had a match-high 14 digs.
The teams meet again Saturday at 7 p.m., Hawaii’s final nonconference match before opening Big West play on the road next week.
