PHILADELPHIA >> P.J. Walker threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns, both in the fourth quarter, and Temple downed Tulsa 35-24 on Saturday.

After a career long 44-yard field goal by Tulsa’s Carl Salazar broke a 21-21 tie early in the final quarter, Walker found Jalen Fitzpatrick from 30 yards out to catapult Temple back in front. Walker added a 20-yard strike to Jahad Thomas 7 minutes later to put the game away.

Thomas had 151 yards on the ground on 14 carries for the Owls (4-1, 2-0 AAC), including a 68-yard run on the game’s opening drive.

Dane Evans threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns to lead Tulsa (1-5, 1-1). Zack Langer added 113 yards rushing and Keevan Lucas finished with 108 yards receiving for the Golden Hurricanes, who have lost five consecutive games.
