A 43-year-old Kaimuki woman was in police custody after she allegedly hit two pedestrians in Haleiwa Thursday night, and fled the scene.

Police said the accident occurred on Kamehameha Highway near the Haleiwa McDonald’s at around 10 p.m. 

Paramedics took a 35-year-old man to the hospital in serious condition. The other pedestrian, a girl under 18-years-old, suffered minor injuries, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

Police arrested the suspect a few hours later at the Wahiawa police station.
