Hawaii County police look for 2 suspects in bicycle theft

Hawaii County police are looking for two people allegedly involved in a early morning bicycle theft in Hilo on Monday.

According to police, a woman witnessed another woman removing her bicycle from an apartment building on Kinoole Street and riding off. The woman pursued the suspect but a second person driving a black, older-model pickup truck intervened and assaulted her.

The female suspect is described as being about 5-feet tall weighing 110 pounds, with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and denim shorts. No description of the second suspect is available.

The incident occurred about 1 a.m.
