Autopsy ordered for man who died swimming near Fort DeRussy
The Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy on a 49-year-old man who apparently downed while swimming Saturday near Fort DeRussy.
The identity of the man has not be released until his relatives have been informed.
The victim was pulled out the ocean around 5:30 p.m. and died at the scene, police said.
The case is currently classified as an unattended death.
