Police investigate alleged sex assault at Halawa prison
Police are investigating a reported sexual assault involving two inmates at the Halawa Correctional Facility.
Police said the incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. Sunday and involved two inmates, ages 33 and 35.
The Department of Public declined to comment on the report until after the police investigation has been completed.
