Governor sent list of finalists for UH Board of Regents
A list of candidates for Honolulu and Maui seats on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents has been sent to Gov. David Ige.
The candidates, whose terms are subject to confirmation by the state Senate, were selected by the Candidate Advisory Council for five-year terms beginning July 1.
Finalists for the Honolulu seat currently filled by Chuck Gee are Peter S. Adler, Maralyn A. Kurshals, Michael T. McEnerney and Russel S. Nagata.
The Maui finalists include Helen Nielsen, who is filling the seat in the interim, along with Sherrilee K. Dodson, Vincent R. Linares, Anders F. Lyons, and Ernest K. Wilson.
Interim regents whose terms are subject to confirmation by the state Senate are Simeon Acoba, Dileep Bal, and Peter Hoffmann. Their interim appointments were made by former Gov. Neil Abercrombie in October to replace regents who had resigned in July.
