Hawaii tops UC Davis in women’s basketball
Destiny King tied her career-high with 17 points and Ashleigh Karaitiana added 13 as Hawaii won its first Big West road game of the season, defeating UC Davis 58-53 Thursday in Davis, Calif.
Megan Huff missed her first career double-double, finishing with eight points and 13 rebounds for the Rainbow Wahine (10-7, 2-2).
Alyson Doherty led the Aggies (8-9, 3-1) with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Sydnee Fipps added 10 points before fouling out with 5:22. Kelsey Harris, who leads the country in 3-point shooting percentage, was 0-for-3 from beyond the arc and hit one free throw.
Hawaii is next at UC Irvine Saturday for a 2 p.m. The Anteaters (3-16, 0-4) lost to visiting CSUN 72-63 Thursday.
