Small fire prompts evacuation of Kapiolani high-rise
Fire investigators said a small fire at the Pan Am Building Wednesday morning was probably caused by an electrical problem related to an aquarium in a 13th floor office.
The fire alarm was triggered at 7:26 a.m. at the 17-story building at 1600 Kapiolani Boulevard, prompting a brief evacuation of the building.
A tenant discovered the fire and extinguished it with a bucket of water.
