Missing visitor returns safely to her hotel in Waikiki
A 59-year-old Japan visitor suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and missing since Sunday night returned Monday to the Waikiki hotel where she had been staying with with her husband.
Yukiko Yamamoto was kind of disoriented but eventually was able to return to the hotel, Honolulu police said.
Yamamoto, who had been the subject of an islandwide CrimeStoppers’ missing person’s bulletin, was last seen by her family at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, when she walked away while dining in the Waikiki area while her husband went to pay the bill, police said.
