Vegas police: Mother teaching daughter to drive shot in road rage
LAS VEGAS >> Police say a mother teaching her teenage daughter to drive was shot by a gunman in an apparent road-rage incident as they headed toward their northwest Las Vegas home.
Officer Miguel Garcia said Friday that investigators are sorting through conflicting reports, but are looking for the shooter and at least one other person in a car that fled the shooting scene about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
The woman’s husband, Robert Meyers, tells KSNV-TV their son fired a shotgun at the fleeing car outside the house on Mount Shasta Circle.
Meyers says his wife, Tammy Meyers, was wounded in the head and may lose an eye. She’s in critical condition at University Medical Center.
Meyers says his wife was driving home after the driving lesson in a high school parking lot.
