Police closed Auiki St. in Kalihi to investigate the scene of a shooting that left one man dead and another man critically injured.

Police are still searching for a suspect or suspects in an early Sunday shooting in Kalihi that left two men dead.

Police said officers responded to a report of shots fired about 6 a.m. on Auiki Street and found the two victims in a car. A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to his head, paramedics said.  A 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his chest.

The older man died at 8:45 a.m. at the hospital, police said.

Police closed Auiki Street between Puuhale to Mokauea streets for about six hours for an investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
